E: Melbourne gratitude

I jotted down some thoughts last night for all the wonderful friends I got (and physically left, for a bit) in Melbourne.

Distance doesn’t have to be distant.
Time apart doesn’t have to be absence.
Different languages don’t have to distort communication.
Rarity in meeting, concentrates quality.
Fewer new memories make the old ones last longer.
Challenges make stronger.

Melbourne is afar, yet so real.
My year down under is over, but the experiences won’t ever go away.
Practicalities prevent frequent gatherings, but not multiple friendships.
I returned as myself - an improved one though.
A possible future return to those I miss is impossible to dismiss.
And sooner or later I will have the chance to repay by hosting in Norway.
